Getting There

Car
If you are driving from anywhere within Chikuzen, start by heading south on Route 3. Follow the signs for Fukuoka and Hakata. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, take the exit toward Hakata Station. Once you exit, follow the signs to Hakata Ekimae. You can park at one of the nearby parking facilities. Note that parking fees vary, typically costing around 500 to 1,000 yen per hour.

To reach Hakata Old Town Area by train, head to Chikuzen Nakamura Station and board the Nishitetsu Tenjin-Omuta Line towards Fukuoka. After about 25 minutes, get off at Hakata Station. From Hakata Station, it's approximately a 10-minute walk to the Hakata Old Town Area. Exit the station and head towards the east; follow the signs leading to Hakata Ekimae. There is a train fare of around 500 yen.
