Car
If you are driving from central Chikuzen, head south on Route 3 towards Fukuoka. Continue on Route 3 for about 30 kilometers. When you approach Fukuoka, follow the signs for Hakata. Once you reach Hakata, take the exit towards Gokushomachi. After exiting, turn right onto Gokushomachi street. Tochoji Temple will be on your left at 2-4 Gokushomachi, Hakata Ward. There is parking available nearby, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To get to Tochoji Temple using public transportation, first, locate the nearest train station in Chikuzen, which is likely Chikuzen-Maebaru Station. Take the JR Chikuzen Line towards Fukuoka. After about 20 minutes, transfer at Hakata Station. From Hakata Station, take the Fukuoka City Subway Line (Kuko Line) towards Meinohama. Get off at Gion Station. From Gion Station, it is a 10-minute walk: exit the station and head south towards Gokushomachi. Turn left on Gokushomachi street and continue walking. Tochoji Temple will be at 2-4 Gokushomachi, Hakata Ward.
