If you are driving, start by heading south on Route 13 from Yamagata city center. Continue on Route 13 for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 46. Take Route 46 and follow the signs for Zao Onsen. After about 15 kilometers, you will arrive at Zao Onsen, where you can follow the signs to Jizo Sancho Station. The station is located at Zaoonsen, Yamagata, 990-2301. Be aware that parking may incur a fee, typically ranging from 500 to 1000 yen, depending on the lot.
Public Transportation
To reach Jizo Sancho Station using public transportation, first take a train from Yamagata Station to Yamagata Shinkansen. From there, transfer to the Yamagata Line and head towards Zao Onsen Station. Upon arrival at Zao Onsen Station, you can take a local bus or taxi to reach Jizo Sancho Station. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes and costs approximately 400 yen. Ensure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Zao Onsen Station to Jizo Sancho Station. The taxi ride will take around 10 minutes and should cost approximately 1500-2000 yen. Taxis are readily available at the station, and it's a convenient option if you're traveling with luggage or in a group.
