Once at Yamagata Station, transfer to the Senzan Line and take a train to Yamadera Station (山寺駅). This leg of the journey takes about 15 minutes. After arriving at Yamadera Station, exit the station and follow the signs toward Rissyakuji Temple, which is about a 15-minute walk uphill.
