Car
If you are driving from Dewa, start on Route 13 (Yamagata Prefectural Road) heading towards Zaō. Follow the signs for Zaō Echo Line, which is located in the Zaō area. The approximate driving time from central Dewa is about 30 minutes. Once you reach Zaō, look for parking areas near the entrance to the Zao Echo Line. There may be a parking fee, typically around 500-1000 yen, depending on the season.
Public Transportation
To reach Zao Echo Line by public transport, take a bus from Dewa Station to Zaō Onsen. The buses run regularly, approximately every 30-60 minutes, and the journey takes about 50 minutes. The fare is around 800 yen. Once you arrive at Zaō Onsen, you’ll need to transfer to another bus heading to Zao Echo Line. Taxi
