Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Tsuruoka. Head south on Route 345 toward Haguroyama. Continue on Route 345 for about 10 kilometers until you see signs directing you towards Haguroyama. Turn right onto Haguroyama-33 Haguromachi Touge. The Dewa Sanzan Historical Museum will be on your right. There is parking available at the museum.

To reach the Dewa Sanzan Historical Museum using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Tsuruoka Station. Look for the bus that goes to Haguroyama, which is typically marked with 'Haguroyama' on its display. The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Haguroyama stop, disembark and walk about 300 meters down Haguroyama-33 Haguromachi Touge. The museum will be located on your right side.
