Car
If you're driving from central Dewa, take Route 13 heading south towards Yamagata City. Continue for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection at the Saito River. Turn left onto Route 286 and follow the signs for Yamagata City. After approximately 5 minutes, make a right onto Hatagomachi Street. The Yamagata Folk Museum Bunshokan will be on your left at 3 Chome-4-51 Hatagomachi. There is parking available nearby, but please check for any parking fees that may apply.

Public Transportation
To reach the Yamagata Folk Museum Bunshokan using public transportation, head to Dewa Station. Take the Yamagata City Bus (Line Y) towards Yamagata Station. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Bunshokan-mae bus stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes to the museum, which is located at 3 Chome-4-51 Hatagomachi. A one-way bus fare is approximately 500 yen.

Walking from Yamagata Station
If you are already at Yamagata Station, you can walk to the Yamagata Folk Museum Bunshokan. Exit the station and head west towards Route 13. Cross the street and continue straight along the sidewalk. After about 20 minutes, you will reach Hatagomachi Street. Turn right, and the museum will be on your right at 3 Chome-4-51 Hatagomachi. This walk takes about 25 minutes in total.
