From Dewa, get onto the Yamagata Expressway (Yamagata E84) heading south. Continue on this highway for approximately 3 hours (about 200 km) until you reach the junction with the Chugoku Expressway (Chugoku E2). Merge onto the Chugoku Expressway and continue for another 1 hour. Take the exit toward Himeji and follow the signs to Himeji Castle. The castle is located at 68 Honmachi, Himeji, Hyogo 670-0012. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay a fee of around 500 to 1000 yen depending on the duration.

To reach Himeji Castle from Dewa using public transportation, take a train from Dewa Station to Yamagata Station. From Yamagata Station, take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Himeji Station.
