Public Transportation
From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Sanyo Line or any local train heading towards Nishi-Hiroshima. Get off at the next stop, Hiroshima Station. Then, exit the station and walk to the Astram Line station (look for signs). Take the Astram Line towards Ujina. Get off at Kencho-mae Station. From Kencho-mae Station, exit onto Motomachi Street. Walk straight for about 10 minutes; you will pass by several shops and restaurants. Keep your eyes peeled for the Hiroshima Gate Park, which will be on your right at 5-25 Motomachi, Naka Ward.
Walking
If you are near the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, you can walk to Hiroshima Gate Park. Head southwest from the Peace Memorial Park towards Motomachi Street. This should take about 15 minutes. As you walk, you’ll pass various memorials and green spaces. Once you reach Motomachi Street, turn left and continue walking for about 5 minutes; you will see Hiroshima Gate Park at 5-25 Motomachi, Naka Ward.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from various rental shops near Hiroshima Station. Once you have your bike, head towards the Motomachi area. Follow the road signs towards the city center and keep along the riverside path. It should take you about 20 minutes to reach Hiroshima Gate Park. The park is located at 5-25 Motomachi, Naka Ward, and there are bike racks available for parking your bicycle.
