From Hiroshima Station, take the JR Geibi Line (the train heading towards Tsurukawa) and get off at Akiōta Station. The train ride will take approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Akiōta Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop outside. Take the Hiba Bus bound for Sandankyo (三段峡). The bus ride will take about 30 minutes, and you will need to inform the driver that you want to get off at Sandankyo. After getting off the bus, follow the signs towards Sandankyo Gorge, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
