Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Hitachi and head south on Route 6. Follow the signs for the Joban Expressway towards Tokyo. Merge onto the Joban Expressway and continue for about 100 km. Take the exit for the Shinjuku area and follow the signs to Suginami City. Once in Suginami, navigate to Zenpukuji by following local road signs. The shrine is located at 1 Chome-33-1 Zenpukuji, and there is parking available nearby.

Public Transportation
To get to Igusa Hachimangu by public transport, take the Hitachi Line train from Hitachi Station to Ueno Station. From Ueno, transfer to the JR Chuo Line towards Takao and ride to Koenji Station. Once at Koenji Station, exit and take a local bus (bus number 01 or 02) towards Zenpukuji. Get off at the Zenpukuji stop. The shrine is a short walk from the bus stop at 1 Chome-33-1 Zenpukuji.
