If you are driving in Hitachi, start by heading towards Route 6 (National Route 6) and follow the signs for the Joban Expressway. Take the expressway towards Tokyo and exit at the Toranomon exit. Once you exit, merge onto Shuto Expressway Route 2. Follow the signs for Minato City/Shirokanedai. Continue straight until you reach Shirokanedai 5 Chome. The Institute for Nature Study will be on your left at 5 Chome-21-5.
Public Transportation
To reach the Institute for Nature Study using public transportation, start by taking the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway from Hitachi Station. Travel to Katsuta Station and transfer to the JR Joban Line towards Ueno. Get off at Shinagawa Station. From there, transfer to the Toei Mita Line and take the train towards Nishi-Takashimadaira Station. Disembark at Shirokanedai Station. Upon exiting the station, head east on Shirokanedai Street. The Institute for Nature Study will be located at 5 Chome-21-5, a short walk from the station.
