If you are traveling by car from central Hitachi, start by heading towards Route 6 (Kantō Expressway). Follow the signs to merge onto Route 6 heading towards Mito. Stay on Route 6 for about 30 kilometers. Take the exit towards Mito, and follow the signs for Route 50 to Tokyo until you reach the junction for the Joban Expressway. Continue on the Joban Expressway for approximately 70 kilometers. Take the exit towards Shinjuku, then follow the signs to Chuo City. Matsu-no-ochaya is located at 1-1 Hamarikyuteien, Chuo City, Tokyo, 104-0046. Be aware of toll fees along the expressways, which can vary depending on your starting point.

Public Transportation
To reach Matsu-no-ochaya via public transportation, start at Hitachi Station. Board the Joban Line train towards Ueno. This journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and take the train towards Shibuya. Get off at Nihonbashi Station. From Nihonbashi, you can either take a taxi, which should cost around 1,500-2,000 JPY, or walk approximately 15 minutes to Matsu-no-ochaya. It’s helpful to have a map or GPS handy as you navigate through the streets.
