Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, begin your journey by heading towards Route 6 (National Route 6) from any location in Hitachi. Follow the signs for the Ibaraki Expressway and merge onto it. Continue on the Ibaraki Expressway until you reach the junction for the Joban Expressway (E6). Merge onto the Joban Expressway and proceed towards Tokyo. Once you are nearing Tokyo, take the exit for the Tokyo Loop Road (Shuto Expressway). Follow the signs for Chuo and exit at Ginza. You will find parking facilities nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking, which can range from 500 to 1500 yen per hour depending on the time of day and location.

• Train

  For those using public transportation, start your journey from Hitachi Station. Board the Joban Line train heading to Ueno Station. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Take the Ginza Line towards Shibuya and disembark at Ginza Station (about 10 minutes). Upon exiting the station, follow the signs for Exit A3, which will lead you to Ginza. The Seiko House Ginza Clock Tower is located at 4 Chome-5-11 Ginza, just a short 5-minute walk from the station. Look for the tall clock tower; it’s a prominent landmark.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take a bus, begin at Hitachi Station and look for the highway bus service that travels to Tokyo. These buses usually depart several times a day and the journey can take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Tokyo Station, you will need to take the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line from Tokyo Station to Ginza Station. After your arrival at Ginza Station, exit via Exit A3 and walk towards the Seiko House Ginza Clock Tower, located at 4 Chome-5-11 Ginza, which is about a 5-minute walk from the station.
