Car
If you are traveling by car, start by heading south on Route 6 (National Route 6) from the center of Hitachi. Continue on Route 6 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the intersection near Hitachinaka. Take the exit toward Ibaraki Prefectural Route 8, and then follow the signs for 'Tamago no Mori' (Eggs Forest). You will see signs directing you to the parking area once you are close. The address is 552−18, Nagasuna, Hitachinaka, Ibaraki 312-0004. There is free parking available on-site.
Public Transportation
To reach Tamago no Mori by public transportation, first head to Hitachi Station. From Hitachi Station, take the Hitachinaka Seaside Railway (ひたちなか海浜鉄道) towards Katsuta Station. Get off at Katsuta Station (approximately a 15-minute ride). From Katsuta Station, transfer to bus number 70 or 71 towards Nagasuna. After about 15 minutes on the bus, get off at the 'Tamago no Mori' bus stop. The park is a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the bus schedule, as it may vary.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a rental shop in Hitachi. Once you have your bike, head south on Route 6 towards Hitachinaka. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and will take around 30-40 minutes. Follow the same route as if you were driving, and be sure to use bike lanes where available. There are bike racks available at Tamago no Mori for you to secure your bicycle.
