Getting There

Car
From Hitachi, head south on Route 6 towards Mito. Follow the signs for the Joban Expressway (常磐自動車道) and enter the expressway at Mito. Continue on the Joban Expressway for approximately 70 km. Take the exit at Narita Interchange and merge onto the Higashi-Kanto Expressway (東関東自動車道) towards Chiba. Exit at Urayasu and follow the signs to Tokyo Disneyland. The total driving time is around 1.5 to 2 hours depending on traffic. Note that there are toll fees on the expressways, which may cost around ¥1,500 to ¥2,000.

Begin your journey at Hitachi Station. Take the Joban Line (常磐線) towards Ueno. Transfer at Ueno Station to the Keiyo Line (京葉線) towards Soga. Disembark at Maihama Station, which is the nearest station to Tokyo Disneyland. The entire journey takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, including transfer time. Ensure you purchase a ticket for the entire journey, which will cost around ¥2,500 to ¥3,000.

From Hitachi, you can take a bus to Mito Station. Once at Mito Station, transfer to a bus heading to Narita Airport. From Narita Airport, catch the Airport Limousine Bus to Tokyo Disneyland. The journey from Hitachi to Mito takes about 30 minutes, and the bus from Narita Airport to Tokyo Disneyland takes approximately 1 hour. Total travel time will be around 2 to 2.5 hours. Bus fares will vary but expect to pay around ¥1,000 to ¥2,500 in total.
