Getting There

• Car

  To reach Tokyo Tower by car from Hitachi, start by getting onto the Joban Expressway (E6) towards Tokyo. Continue on the expressway for approximately 90 kilometers. Take the exit toward Shimbashi and merge onto Route 1 (Shuto Expressway). Follow the signs for Minato City, and then take the exit for Akabanebashi. After exiting, continue on Akabanebashi Street until you see signs for Tokyo Tower. There is a parking lot nearby, but be aware that parking fees typically range from 500 to 1,000 yen per hour.

• Train

  To reach Tokyo Tower by train from Hitachi, start at Hitachi Station. Purchase a ticket to Tokyo Station, which will cost around 2,600 yen for a one-way trip. Board the JR Joban Line and travel to Ueno Station, where you will change to the JR Yamanote Line. Take the Yamanote Line to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and travel to Kasumigaseki Station. At Kasumigaseki Station, change to the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and travel to Kamiyacho Station. From Kamiyacho Station, it's a 10-minute walk to Tokyo Tower. Be sure to check the train schedules, as travel times may vary.

• Bus

  If you prefer to travel by bus, take a highway bus from Hitachi to Shinjuku. The fare is about 1,500 yen and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive at Shinjuku, transfer to the Toei Subway Oedo Line at Shinjuku Station and ride it to Akabanebashi Station. From Akabanebashi Station, it's a short 5-minute walk to Tokyo Tower. Note that bus schedules may vary, so check the departure times in advance.
