Getting There

• Car

  Start by heading southeast on Route 6 (also known as National Route 6) from Hitachi toward Mito. Continue until you reach the junction with the Joban Expressway (E6) and merge onto it. Follow the Joban Expressway for approximately 80 kilometers. Take the exit toward Koto City and merge onto Route 357. Follow Route 357 until you reach Toyosu, Koto City. The Toyosu Fish Market is located at 6 Chome-6-1 Toyosu. Parking is available nearby, but be aware of potential fees ranging from 500-1000 yen per hour.

• Train

  From Hitachi Station, take the JR Joban Line (Rapid Service) toward Ueno. After about 45 minutes, transfer at Toranomon Station to the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. Take the Hibiya Line towards Nakameguro and alight at Toyosu Station (approximately 25 minutes). From Toyosu Station, take Exit 1, and you will find the Toyosu Fish Market about a 10-minute walk away. Please note that train fares will vary but expect to pay around 1,500 yen for the entire journey.

• Bus

  From Hitachi, catch a local bus to Mito Station. From Mito Station, transfer to the highway bus service to Tokyo. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 2 hours. Once you arrive in Tokyo, take the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line from Hibiya Station to Toyosu Station (about 10 minutes). After alighting at Toyosu Station, use Exit 1, and it's a 10-minute walk to the market. The total bus fare from Hitachi to Tokyo is about 2,000 yen.
