Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Higashikawa from either Asahikawa or Kamikawa. From Asahikawa, take Route 40 north until you reach the junction with Route 273. Turn left onto Route 273 and continue until you reach Yukomanbetsu. Follow the signs to Chishima Sakura. The drive from Asahikawa will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Make sure to fill up on gas in Asahikawa, as there are fewer services in more rural areas.
Public Transportation
To reach Chishima Sakura using public transportation, start by taking a train from Sapporo to Asahikawa. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. From Asahikawa Station, transfer to a local bus heading towards Higashikawa. Once you arrive at Higashikawa, you will need to take a taxi to Yukomanbetsu, which is approximately a 15-minute drive and should cost around 2,000-3,000 yen. Ensure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may not run frequently.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from Asahikawa directly to Chishima Sakura. This will save you time but will be more expensive, with fares likely exceeding 10,000 yen. Confirm the fare with the driver before starting your journey.
