    If you are driving, head towards Hakodate city. From Sapporo, take the Hokkaido Expressway and follow signs for Hakodate. Exit at the Hakodate IC and continue on Route 5. Follow the signs to Goryōkaku. Parking is available near Goryōkaku Tower, and it typically costs around 500 yen for a few hours.

    If you are using public transportation, take the train from Sapporo to Hakodate Station, which takes about 3.5 hours. Once at Hakodate Station, transfer to the 'Goryōkaku' tram line (Tram No. 2) and ride it to the Goryōkaku Koen Mae stop. The tram ride costs 210 yen.
