Car
To reach Osaka Castle from Iyo by car, take the Matsuyama Expressway from Iyo. Follow the expressway for about 40 kilometers until you reach the Osaka area. Take the exit towards Osaka City Center (Exit 13). Continue following the signs for Chuo Ward and Osaka Castle. The castle is located at 1-1 Osakajo, Chuo Ward, Osaka, 540-0002. There is parking available nearby, but expect to pay around 1,000 to 2,000 yen for parking fees depending on duration.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, start by taking the Iyo Railway from Iyo Station to Matsuyama Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. From Matsuyama Station, take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Shin-Osaka Station, which takes approximately 1 hour. Upon arrival at Shin-Osaka, transfer to the Osaka Metro (Midosuji Line) and take the train to Namba Station. From Namba, transfer to the Osaka Metro (Sakurajima Line) and get off at Osakajo-koen Station. The castle is a short 10-minute walk from the station. Expect to spend around 4,000 yen for this journey including train fares.
