    Getting There

    Car

    From Iyo, take the Matsuyama Expressway (via Route 33) towards Tottori. Continue on the expressway until you reach the Tottori Interchange. After exiting the interchange, follow the signs for Route 9 towards Tottori City. Once you reach Tottori City, follow the signs for the Tottori Sand Dunes, which is located at 2164-971 Fukubecho Yuyama. The total drive is approximately 2.5 hours, and there may be tolls along the expressway.

    Train and Bus

    Start your journey from Iyo by taking a train from Iyo Station to Okayama Station. From Okayama Station, transfer to the JR Limited Express Super Inaba train towards Tottori Station. The train ride will take about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Tottori Station, exit the station and take the local bus (Yuransen Bus) towards the Tottori Sand Dunes. The bus ride takes around 20-30 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may vary.

    Public Transportation (Bus Only)

    If you prefer to travel entirely by bus, start from Iyo by taking a local bus to Matsuyama Bus Terminal. From there, take a highway bus to Tottori. The highway bus ride takes about 3-4 hours. Upon arrival at Tottori Bus Terminal, transfer to the local bus heading to Tottori Sand Dunes. This final bus ride will take around 15-20 minutes. Check the bus schedules for exact timings and ticket prices.
