Getting There

Car
From central Izu, head north on Route 1 towards Atami. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 20 kilometers. When you reach the junction for Route 135, take the exit toward Hakone. Follow Route 135 for around 10 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Hakone. Continue straight, and take a right turn onto Ninotaira Road. After about 1 kilometer, you will see Sanno Shrine on your left at 1297 Ninotaira, Hakone. Parking is available nearby.

Public Transportation
From Izu Station, take the JR Ito Line to Atami Station (about 30 minutes). At Atami Station, transfer to the JR Tokaido Line and head towards Odawara Station. Get off at Odawara Station (approximately 15 minutes). From Odawara Station, take the Hakone Tozan Railway towards Gora. Change at Gora Station to the Hakone Tozan Cable Car and travel to Sounzan Station. From Sounzan, take the Hakone Ropeway to Owakudani. Finally, catch a local bus from Owakudani to Sanno Shrine. The shrine is located at 1297 Ninotaira, Hakone.
