Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Izumo City and take Route 9 towards Matsue. Follow the signs that indicate Matsue and continue on Route 9 for approximately 30 minutes. As you approach Matsue, take the exit toward Matsue City Center. Continue straight until you reach the intersection near Matsue-jō Castle. There is parking available nearby at Matsue-jō Castle, which may incur a small fee (around 500 yen).

For those using public transportation, take the JR San-in Line from Izumo City Station to Matsue Station. The journey takes about 35 minutes and costs approximately 600 yen. Once you arrive at Matsue Station, exit the station and take the Matsue City Loop Bus (Shimane Prefecture) towards Matsue-jō Castle. The bus ride takes about 10 minutes and costs around 200 yen. Get off at the Matsue-jō Castle stop, and the castle will be a short walk from there.
