Car
If you are driving from central Izumo, head southeast on Route 9 (also known as the San'in Expressway). Continue for about 12 kilometers until you reach the Susa area. Take the exit for Susa and follow the signs directing you to Susa Shrine. The shrine is located at 730 Sadacho Susa, and you will find parking available nearby. Note that parking may incur a small fee, usually around 500 yen.
Train + Bus
For those using public transportation, start at Izumo-shi Station. Take the JR San'in Line to Susa Station (about a 20-minute ride). From Susa Station, you can take a local bus (Bus number 1 or 2) that heads towards Susa Shrine. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as they can run infrequently, especially on weekends.
Taxi
If you prefer a more direct approach, consider taking a taxi from Izumo-shi Station or any location in Izumo. The taxi ride to Susa Shrine will take around 15-20 minutes and will cost approximately 2,000 to 3,000 yen depending on traffic.
