Getting There

  • By Car

    If you're driving from central Kaga, head north on Route 8 towards Fukui. After approximately 20 minutes, take the exit towards Tanotanicho. Follow the signs for Daianzenji Temple, which will be on your left at 21-4 Tanotanicho. Parking is available near the temple, and it's free of charge.

  • By Public Transportation

    To reach Daianzenji Temple via public transportation, start at Kaga Onsen Station. Take the JR Hokuriku Line train towards Fukui. After about 30 minutes, disembark at Fukui Station. From Fukui Station, transfer to the Fukui City Bus (Route 1) towards Tanotanicho. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the 'Tanotanicho' bus stop, and Daianzenji Temple will be a short 5-minute walk from there. The total cost for the train and bus is around 1,200 yen.
