If you are driving from central Kai, head towards Route 20 (Chuo Highway). Take Route 20 eastbound for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the Akagi Shrine area. Follow the signs for Akagi Shrine which will lead you to Akagi Motomachi. There is a parking lot available near the shrine, but be aware that it may fill up quickly during weekends and holidays. Parking fees may apply.

Public Transportation
From Kai Station, take the JR Chuo Line train towards Tokyo. After about 30 minutes, transfer at Takao Station to the JR Chuo Line Rapid service towards Shinjuku. Get off at Shinjuku Station. From Shinjuku Station, you can take a taxi to Akagi Shrine, which is about a 10-minute ride. Alternatively, take the Toei Subway Oedo Line from Shinjuku Station to the Akebonobashi Station. From there, the shrine is a 15-minute walk. Be prepared to pay a small fare for the subway and taxi.
