  • Car

    If you're driving from the center of Hitachi, take Route 6 (National Route 6) towards the south. Continue on this road for about 1.5 hours until you reach the intersection with Route 4 (National Route 4) near Mito. Merge onto Route 4 and follow the signs for Tokyo. Stay on Route 4 which will eventually lead you into the Tokyo metropolitan area. Once you are closer to Shinjuku, look for signs to Kagurazaka, and follow those until you reach 3 Chome−1, Kagurazaka, Shinjuku City. Parking might be available nearby, but it may incur additional costs, typically around ¥300-¥600 per hour.

  • Train

    Start at Hitachi Station. Purchase a ticket for the JR Joban Line to Ueno Station, which takes about 1.5 hours. From Ueno Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line towards Shinjuku Station. This leg takes approximately 20 minutes. Upon arriving at Shinjuku Station, exit and follow the signs to the Tokyo Metro Toei Oedo Line. Take the Oedo Line to Kagurazaka Station (about 5 minutes).
