Car
If you are driving from Kai to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, start by heading southeast on Route 26 (also known as the Osaka Prefectural Road), which will lead you toward the city center of Osaka. Follow the signs for Minato Ward, where the aquarium is located. Once you approach the area, look for signs directing you to the Kaiyukan. There is a parking lot available at the aquarium, and parking fees are approximately 200 yen per 30 minutes.
Public Transportation - Train
For public transportation, you can take the JR Hanwa Line from Kai Station. Board the train bound for Tennoji Station and transfer to the Osaka Metro Chuo Line at Tennoji Station. Take the Chuo Line towards Cosmosquare Station. Disembark at Osakako Station, which is the nearest station to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. From the station, it is about a 10-minute walk to the aquarium. Follow the signs for the aquarium as you exit the station. Note that train fares from Kai to Osaka may vary, but expect to pay around 500 yen.
Public Transportation - Bus
Alternatively, you can take a bus from Kai to Osaka. Look for the local bus service that connects Kai to Osaka. Confirm the route that stops at Osakako Station. Once you arrive at Osakako Station, the aquarium is a short 10-minute walk. Bus fares can vary, so check the local bus schedules for the exact fare, which is generally around 600 yen.
