Getting there

Car

From the center of Kai, drive south on Route 20 (Nihonbashi Street) towards the city of Beppu. Continue on Route 20 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach Beppu. Once in Beppu, follow signs for Route 10 and merge onto it. After about 5 kilometers, take the exit for 'Kijima Kogen Park.' Follow the signs for the ‘Yukemuri Observation Deck’ which will guide you to the parking area near the observation deck. Parking may incur a fee, so be prepared with some cash.

Public Transportation (Train and Bus)

Start your journey by taking the JR Chuo Line from Kai Station to Beppu Station. This train ride will take about 1 hour and 30 minutes. After arriving at Beppu Station, exit the station and head to the bus terminal located right outside. Look for the bus bound for Kijima Kogen Park. Board the bus, and the ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Yukemuri Observation Deck' bus stop. Ensure you check the bus schedule ahead of time, as services may vary.

Taxi

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from your location in Kai directly to the Yukemuri Observation Deck. This will be the most convenient option as it will take you directly to the location without any transfers. The taxi ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.
