Car
If you are driving from central Kai, start by heading east on Route 20. After approximately 15 kilometers, merge onto the Chuo Expressway (E20) towards Tokyo. Continue for about 80 kilometers, then take the ramp to Shinjuku and merge onto the Shinjuku Bypass. Follow the signs for Minato City. Once you reach Minato City, look for signs to Shirokanedai. The Institute for Nature Study is located at 5 Chome-21-5 Shirokanedai, which should be easily visible from the main road. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach the Institute for Nature Study via public transport from Kai, take a local train from Kai Station to Shinjuku Station. This journey typically takes about 1 hour and includes a transfer at Kofu Station. Once at Shinjuku Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line and travel to Shirokanedai Station. From Shirokanedai Station, exit the station and head south on Shirokanedai Street for about 10 minutes. The Institute for Nature Study will be on your left at 5 Chome-21-5 Shirokanedai.
