If you're traveling by car, start by heading southeast on Route 20 from central Kai. Continue for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 52. Merge onto Route 52 and follow the signs for Kofu. After about 3 kilometers, take the exit for Zenkoji. Follow the signs to Kai Zenkōji Temple, which is located at 3 Chome-36-1 Zenkoji, Kofu. There is parking available near the temple, which may incur a small fee.

To reach Kai Zenkōji Temple using public transportation, start by heading to Kofu Station. Take the JR Chuo Line from Kofu Station towards Otsuki and get off at the next stop, which is Kofu. From Kofu Station, exit the station and find the local bus stop. Board the bus headed to Zenkoji. The bus ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Zenkoji stop, and from there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Kai Zenkōji Temple. Be sure to check the bus schedule for times, as they may vary.
