Car
If you're driving, head towards the city center of Kai and take Route 20 (Chuo Highway) heading east. Follow the signs for Tokyo. After approximately 1.5 hours, you'll arrive in Bunkyo City. Once you’re in Bunkyo, follow the signs to Hakusan. Koishikawa Botanical Garden is located at 3 Chome-7-1 Hakusan. Look for parking options nearby as the garden has limited parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Koishikawa Botanical Garden via public transport, start at the nearest train station in Kai. Take the JR Chuo Line to Tokyo Station. From Tokyo Station, transfer to the Marunouchi Line and head towards Ikebukuro. Get off at Hakusan Station. From Hakusan Station, it's about a 10-minute walk to the garden. Exit the station, head south on Hakusan Street, and continue straight until you reach the garden entrance.
