Car
If you are driving, start by heading south on Route 20 (Kōfu Bypass) towards Chuo City. After approximately 15 km, merge onto the Chuo Expressway (中央自動車道) towards Tokyo. Continue for about 90 km and take the exit towards Shinjuku. Follow signs for the Tokyo Metropolitan Expressway (首都高速道路) and drive towards Chuo City. Once you reach Chuo City, look for signs to Nihonbashimuromachi, then turn onto 2 Chome−1−1. The Mitsui Main Building is located in this area. There is parking available nearby, but be prepared for potential fees.
Public Transportation
To reach the Mitsui Memorial Museum by public transport, start at Kai City Station (甲府市駅). Take the JR Chuo Line (中央本線) towards Tokyo. After approximately 1 hour, alight at Tokyo Station (東京駅). From Tokyo Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line (東京メトロ丸ノ内線) and head towards Shinjuku. Get off at the Mitsukoshi-mae Station (三越前駅). From there, it’s a short walk to the Mitsui Memorial Museum. Exit the station and walk towards the Mitsui Main Building located at 2 Chome−1−1, Nihonbashimuromachi. The museum is on the 7th floor.
