    From central Kai, take Route 20 west towards Kofu. After about 15 km, merge onto the Chuo Expressway (E20) towards Yokohama. Continue on the expressway for approximately 60 km until you reach the Yokohama area. Take the exit for Route 1 towards Ishikawa-cho. Follow Route 1 for about 5 km, then take a left onto Oimatsucho. The Nogeyama Zoological Gardens will be on your left at 63-10 Oimatsucho, Nishi Ward, Yokohama, Kanagawa 220-0032. There is parking available at the zoo, but note that a parking fee may apply.

    Start at the nearest train station in Kai, usually Kofu Station. Take the JR Chuo Line bound for Tokyo and transfer at Shinjuku Station to the JR Yokohama Line.
