    Car

    Start your journey from central Kai by getting onto Route 20 (Chuo Highway) heading east. Follow the signs towards Tokyo and continue on Route 20 for approximately 90 km. Once you reach Shinjuku, take the exit towards Shinjuku Station. From there, follow the signs for Route 4 (Sangubashi) and merge onto Route 4. Continue straight for about 6 km until you reach Uenokoen. The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum will be on your left at 8-36 Uenokoen, Taito City, Tokyo. There is parking available nearby.

    Public Transportation

    From Kai, make your way to the nearest train station, which is Kai City Station. Board the JR Chuo Line (Rapid) heading towards Tokyo. After approximately an hour and a half, get off at Shinjuku Station. At Shinjuku Station, transfer to the JR Yamanote Line (Loop Line) towards Ueno. After about 20 minutes, get off at Ueno Station. From Ueno Station, take the exit towards Ueno Park and walk for about 10 minutes to reach the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum located at 8-36 Uenokoen, Taito City, Tokyo.
