Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the Nikko area in Tochigi Prefecture. From Tokyo, take the Tohoku Expressway (E4) towards Utsunomiya, then switch to the Nikko Utsunomiya Road. Exit at the Nikko IC (Interchange), and follow the signs for Nikko City. Once in Nikko, follow Route 120 towards Kosagoe. After approximately 20 minutes, you will arrive at Furukama Falls. Note that parking is available nearby, and costs may vary, so check local signage for rates.
Public Transportation
To reach Furukama Falls using public transportation, start by taking a train from Tokyo to Nikko Station. You can take the Tobu Nikko Line from Asakusa Station or the JR line from Shinjuku to Utsunomiya, then transfer to the JR Nikko Line. Once you arrive at Nikko Station, you will need to take a bus. Look for a bus bound for 'Kiyotaki' or 'Kawaguchi' and disembark at the 'Furukama Falls' stop. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes.
