Getting There

Car
From central Tokyo, take the Tohoku Expressway (Tōhoku Jidōsha Dō) towards Ota City. It is approximately a 2-hour drive (about 120 km). Use the Ota Interchange and follow Route 50 towards Ota. Then, take a right onto Yabuzukacho and follow the signs to Japan Snake Center. Parking is available on-site but may incur a small fee.

Train and Bus
From Tokyo, take the JR Takasaki Line from Tokyo Station to Takasaki Station (approximately 1.5 hours). At Takasaki Station, transfer to the JR Joetsu Line to Ota Station (about 30 minutes). Upon arrival at Ota Station, take a local bus (Ota City Community Bus) towards Yabuzukacho. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Get off at 'Japan Snake Center' bus stop, which is right in front of the entrance.
