If you are driving, take the Tohoku Expressway from Tokyo towards Nikko. Exit at the Nikko IC and follow the signs for Route 120. Drive for about 30 minutes until you reach Ashiomachi. Look for signs directing you to the Mt. Hangetsu Observation Deck. There is a parking area near the observation deck, which is free of charge.

From Tobu Nikko Station, take a bus bound for Hangetsu Kogen. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around ¥700. Get off at the Hangetsu Kogen stop, and from there, it is a short 20-minute walk to the Mt. Hangetsu Observation Deck.
