Car
If you're driving from Tokyo, take the Tōmei Expressway towards Nagoya. After approximately 90 km, merge onto the Kan'etsu Expressway. Continue for about 60 km, then take the exit for Nikko. Follow Route 120, which will lead you directly to Senjōgahara Marshland. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Chugushi and the marshland as you approach. Parking is available near the entrance.
Public Transportation
To reach Senjōgahara Marshland by public transport, start at Tokyo Station. Take the Limited Express train to Utsunomiya Station (approximately 50 minutes). From Utsunomiya, transfer to the JR Nikko Line and take the train to Nikko Station (about 40 minutes). Once at Nikko Station, board the bus bound for Chuzenji Onsen. Get off at the Senjōgahara bus stop. The marshland is a short walk from the bus stop.
