Car
If you're traveling by car, take the Tohoku Expressway from Tokyo towards Utsunomiya. Exit at Utsunomiya Interchange and follow Route 4 north towards Nikko. Continue on Route 4 until you reach the city of Nikko. Once in Nikko, follow the signs to Tamasudare Falls, which is located in Tokorono. The falls are about a 35-minute drive from the center of Nikko. There is parking available near the falls, but be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a train from Tokyo to Nikko. You can take the Tobu Nikko Line from Tobu Asakusa Station to Nikko Station. The journey takes about 2 hours. Once you arrive at Nikko Station, transfer to a local bus bound for Tamasudare Falls (Tamasudare no Taki). The bus ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance, as service may be limited, especially on weekends or holidays.
Walking
If you decide to walk from the bus stop, Tamasudare Falls is about a 15-minute walk from the nearest bus stop. Follow the signs leading to the falls, and you'll enjoy the scenic views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be uneven in some areas.
