Getting There

  • Car

    From Tokyo, take the Joban Expressway (E6) towards Mito. After approximately 70 kilometers, take the Yuki Interchange exit. Follow the signs for Route 50 towards Yuki city. After about 5 kilometers, you will arrive at Tsumugi no Yakata, located at 12-2 Yuki, Ibaraki 307-0001. Parking is available on-site.

  • Public Transportation

    Start at Tokyo Station and take the Tohoku Shinkansen (bullet train) to Mito Station. The trip takes about 1 hour. Once at Mito Station, transfer to the Joban Line and take a train towards Toride. Get off at Yuki Station (approximately 25 minutes from Mito). From Yuki Station, you can take a taxi which will take around 10 minutes to reach Tsumugi no Yakata. The taxi fare is approximately 1,500 yen.

  • Bus

    From Yuki Station, you can also take a local bus (Yuki City Loop Bus) towards the Yuki City Hall. Get off at the Tsumugi no Yakata bus stop, which is directly in front of the museum. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes, and the fare is around 300 yen.
