Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major city in Kanto, such as Tokyo. Navigate to the Kanetsu Expressway (E17) heading north. Continue on the expressway for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the Gyoda Interchange. Take the exit onto Route 125 and follow the signs directing you towards Gyoda city. In about 10 minutes, you will arrive at Water Castle Park, located at 1249 Suijokoen, Gyoda, Saitama 361-0053. There is parking available on-site, but be prepared for a fee of around 500 yen for a few hours of parking. Make sure to have cash handy, as some parking areas may not accept credit cards.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start your journey at Tokyo Station. Take the JR Keihin-Tohoku Line or the JR Ueno-Tokyo Line to Omiya Station. From Omiya, transfer to the JR Takasaki Line and head towards Gyoda Station. The total travel time should be around 1 hour and 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Gyoda Station, exit and look for the bus terminal nearby. Take the Kan-etsu Bus (Route 6) bound for Suijokoen, which will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Suijokoen bus stop, and from there, it is a short 5-minute walk to Water Castle Park. Make sure to have around 1,000 yen in cash for the bus fare.
