Public Transport

Several subway lines provide access to Tokyo Tower. From Onarimon Station (Mita Line), it's a 6-minute walk. From Akabanebashi Station (Oedo Line), it's a 5-minute walk. From Kamiyacho Station (Hibiya Line), it's a 7-minute walk. A single subway fare typically costs between ¥170 and ¥320 depending on the distance. Consider purchasing a day pass for unlimited travel if you plan to use the subway extensively.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout Tokyo. A short taxi ride from nearby areas like Roppongi or Ginza to Tokyo Tower will typically cost between ¥730 and ¥1500, plus a potential late-night surcharge of 20% between 10 PM and 5 AM. The initial fare covers the first two kilometers, with additional charges per kilometer. Be aware of potential surcharges for highway tolls if applicable.

Car

If driving, parking is available adjacent to Tokyo Tower. The parking fee is ¥600 for the first hour and ¥300 for each additional 30 minutes. The parking lot is open from 9:00 to 23:00, with the latest entry at 22:30. Nearby parking lots are also available.

Tokyo Tower, standing 333 meters tall in the heart of Tokyo, is an iconic symbol of Japan's rapid modernization and post-war recovery. Completed in 1958, it was the tallest structure in Japan until 2012 when the Tokyo Skytree surpassed it. Designed by Tachu Naito, the tower's architecture draws inspiration from the Eiffel Tower, featuring a lattice steel structure painted in international orange and white to comply with aviation regulations.Beyond its function as a broadcasting antenna, Tokyo Tower offers visitors a chance to experience panoramic views of the Tokyo skyline. The tower has two observation decks: the Main Deck at 150 meters and the Top Deck at 250 meters. From these vantage points, visitors can see the sprawling cityscape, including modern skyscrapers, parks, and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. The Main Deck also features glass floor look-down windows for a thrilling perspective.At the base of the tower is Foot Town, a multi-level complex with a variety of restaurants, souvenir shops, and attractions. It also houses the Red Tokyo Tower, an e-sports entertainment complex. Tokyo Tower hosts seasonal light installations and events, especially during winter, enhancing its appeal as a cultural and entertainment hub.
