Rising 296.3 meters above Yokohama's Minato Mirai district, the Yokohama Landmark Tower is a prominent feature of the city's skyline. Completed in 1993, it was Japan's tallest building for many years and remains a symbol of Yokohama's modern, forward-looking spirit. The tower houses a variety of attractions, including the Sky Garden observation deck on the 69th floor, offering 360-degree views of Yokohama, Tokyo, and even Mount Fuji on clear days. The high-speed elevators, once the fastest in the world, whisk visitors to the top in approximately 40 seconds.Below the observation deck, the tower incorporates the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel, occupying floors 49 through 70, offering luxurious accommodations with breathtaking views. The lower levels feature Landmark Plaza, a shopping mall with a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and cafes. The Dockyard Garden, a restored 19th-century stone dock, provides a unique event space at the tower's base.Note that the Sky Garden observation deck is scheduled to temporarily close for large-scale renovations after December 31, 2025, with a planned reopening in or after 2028.

    From Yokohama Station, take the JR Negishi Line to Sakuragicho Station (approx. 3 minutes, ¥150). Alternatively, take the Minatomirai Line to Minatomirai Station (approx. 5 minutes, ¥200). From Sakuragicho Station, it's a 5-minute walk to the tower. From Minatomirai Station, it's a 2-3 minute walk. Several Yokohama Bay Area 1-day passes cover the Minatomirai Line.
