Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from central Kawachi, head north towards Route 16. Merge onto Route 16 and continue for approximately 10 kilometers. Follow the signs for Narita and keep left to merge onto the Higashi Kanto Expressway. Take the exit at Narita IC and follow the signs to Naritasan Shinsho-ji. The temple is located at 1 Narita, Chiba 286-0023. There is a parking fee of around ¥500 for the day.

  • Public Transportation

    Start by taking a train from Kawachi Station to Narita Station. Board the JR Narita Line and after about 30 minutes, you will arrive at Narita Station. From Narita Station, you can take a local bus (Narita City Loop Bus) which costs approximately ¥200 one way. Get off at the Naritasan Shinsho-ji bus stop. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop.

  • Taxi

    For a more direct route, consider taking a taxi from your location in Kawachi. This is a more expensive option, costing between ¥4,000 to ¥6,000 depending on traffic and exact pickup point. The taxi will take you directly to Naritasan Shinsho-ji, which is located at 1 Narita, Chiba 286-0023.
