Public Transport
To reach Eishin-in Temple via public transport, start at either JR Uji Station or Keihan Uji Station. From Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to JR Uji Station (approx. 20-30 minutes, ¥240). Alternatively, from central Kyoto, take the Keihan Main Line to Chushojima Station, transfer to the Keihan Uji Line, and alight at Keihan Uji Station (approx. 30 minutes, ¥350). From either Uji station, take bus number 61 or 62 and get off at the 'Eishin-in' bus stop. The temple is a short walk from the bus stop. Bus fare is approximately ¥200-240.

From Keihan Uji Station, cross the Uji Bridge and walk south. Follow the road along the Uji River, then turn east towards the hills. The walk is approximately 20-30 minutes.
