    If you are starting from Kyoto Station, take the JR Nara Line to Tofukuji Station. From Tofukuji Station, transfer to the Keihan Main Line and head towards Demachiyanagi Station. Get off at the Gion-Shijo Station. The total travel time is approximately 30 minutes. From Gion-Shijo Station, exit the station and walk about 10 minutes to reach Maruyama Park.     If you are driving from Osaka, take the Meishin Expressway and exit at the Kyoto Minami IC. Follow the signs for Kyoto City, and then take Route 1 towards the city center. Continue on Route 1 until you reach Shijo Avenue, then turn left. Follow Shijo Avenue until you reach Gion. Look for parking options nearby, as street parking is limited. The park is within walking distance from Gion.
