Car
If you are driving, start by navigating towards Kyoto city center. From the Kyoto Station, take the Shichijo Street (Shichijo-dori) eastbound. After approximately 2 kilometers, continue straight onto Nanzenji Street (Nanzenji-dori). Follow the signs for Nanzenji Temple. Once you reach Nanzenji Temple, look for signs directing you to Murinan Garden, which is located at 31 Nanzenji Kusakawacho. There is parking available nearby, but it can fill up quickly, so plan accordingly.
Public Transportation
To reach Murinan Garden via public transportation, start from Kyoto Station. Take the Karasuma Line subway towards Kokusaikaikan and get off at the 'Nanzenji-Eikando' station (approximately 15 minutes). Exit the station and head towards Nanzenji Temple, which is well-signposted. The garden is a short 10-minute walk from the temple entrance. Follow the signs to Murinan Garden, located at 31 Nanzenji Kusakawacho.
