Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from Osaka. Take the Hanshin Expressway to the Kinki Expressway (also known as the Kansai Expressway) towards Nara. Continue on the expressway until you reach the Yoshino exit (Yoshino IC). After exiting, follow signs for Route 169 which leads to Yoshino. As you approach Yoshinoyama, look for signs directing you to Naka-senbon. There is usually parking available near the trailhead, but be prepared for potential parking fees around ¥500-¥1000.

  • Train

    To reach Naka-senbon via public transportation, take the Kintetsu Yoshino Line from either Namba Station in Osaka or Kyoto Station. If departing from Namba, board a Kintetsu Limited Express train directly to Yoshino Station. The journey takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. If you are coming from Kyoto, transfer at Kintetsu Nara Station to the Yoshino Line. Once you arrive at Yoshino Station, exit the station and take the Nara Kotsu bus to Naka-senbon. The bus ride takes roughly 30 minutes, and a one-way ticket costs around ¥580.
